The Moran Victorian Mansion,
often referred to as the Queen of Hancock Street, is a magnificent home built in 1887 for water meter king John C. Kelley by Montrose W. Morris and has been restored to stunning beauty. This Romanesque and Queen Anne design house was model after the W. H. Vanderbilt house on Fifth Ave. in Manhattan. It stands on a beautiful tree lined street, in the heart of Bedford Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn, NY. Owner Claudia Moran, has turned this beautiful jewel of Brooklyn history into the Moran Victorian Mansion.

The building is surrounded by a garden that is truly grand.
It has been the setting for many weddings, anniversaries, photo and movie shots, accommodating as many as 130 people with room to spare. The garden level features 14ft mahogany bar and dance floor which is ideal for catered events. It can accommodate 75 people.
The parlor floor features front and back parlor, library, and a dinning room. Claudia Moran is an antique buff and has filled this unique mansion with a collection of antiques that not only create an authentic atmosphere of 19th Century America, but every room presents an aura of luxury and romance... For weddings the mansion offers two beautiful bedrooms with private baths in each room, king/queen size beds, French armories and 12ft ceilings.
The Moran Victorian Mansion is 15 minutes from the Brooklyn Museum, the Brooklyn Botanical Garden, Prospect Park, the Billie Holiday Theatre, Brooklyn Children’s Museum, and downtown Brooklyn’s shopping area.

John C. Kelley's Room
President Cleveland's Room
John C. Kelley's Room is located in the back of the 2nd floor of the mansion. Named after the original owner this room has southwestern exposure, which makes the the 12 ft. ceiling space a wonderful place for afternoon relaxation. The room features an exquisite full private bath with original tub and elaborate woodwork detail, king size bed, Wi-Fi access, cable, and work area.
According to historic sources President Cleveland was an acquaintance of John C. Kelly and has visited the mansion. This presidentatially large room is located on the 2nd floor of the house and its southeastern exposure brings beautiful morning light till early afternoon. The spacious dwelling features 12 ft. ceilings, French armories, a king size bed, private bath, a recreational area, a work area, Wi-Fi access, TV & cable.
